Observation tower at Mackova hora (524 m / 1719 ft above sea level) is situated 1 km (0.6 miles) west of Nové Strašecí. It was built in 2001. The tower is 36 m (118 ft) high with 98 spiral stairs leading to the observation deck placed in the height of 21 metres (69 ft).
After climbing up you will be rewarded with a view of the Říp Mountain, Lovoš, Milešovka, Klínovec, Džbán Natural Park, Křivoklátsko forests and part of Nové Strašecí. Orientation boards on the gallery give more detailed and accurate information.
